Kelly Martell, RMT, RMP has been practising Registered Massage Therapy and Registered Myomassology since 2006.  She graduated from a Registered Myomassology program at the Canadian Myomassology Institute and from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy.  In both programs, she learned to balance the ideals of Western medicine and therapies of the East for a more dynamic approach to alternative medicine. 

 

With 12 years in the industry, Kelly has worked at high end fair trade, eco-tourist resorts, and premier spas across Ontario and the Bow Valley having moved to Banff in 2008.  Kelly has specialized training in Myofascial and Myomassology techniques, that will guarantee a more effective treatment.  Kelly's specialities are how to effectively treat clients with postural imbalances, fascial restrictions, repetitive strain (RSI), trigger point pain, acute and chronic injury rehab and prevention, certified Scar-Tissue and Adhesion release, treatment for Scoliosis and vertebral dysfunction, anxiety and stress relief, hypertonicity due to lifestyle and she excels at rebalancing the body due to compensation and restoring the body's energy or chi.  She is certified as a Cupping Master in Biomagnetic Therapy, Detox Contemporary Cupping and Chinese Fire Cupping.

 

She trained and is Certified in other modalities including Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage), Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure, Bach flower remedies, Organic Skin Care and Ingredient benefits, Pathologies and Treatment, Aromatherapy, La Stone therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, Hydrotherapy, Cranio-Sacral therapy, Contraction-Release therapy (similar to Active-Release Therapy) Indian Head massage, Lympatic Drainage, Swedish massage, Myofascial cupping and Pre/Post Natal massage.  She is also certified in Level one Reiki (Universal Life Force Energy healing), S.T.RA.I.T. Method (Scar Tissue and Integrative Stretching Techniques).
